Your first shift

You sit down at the desk, and the field is already busy.

Aircraft at the gates are still boarding. One is ready to push back. Two more are on final. Every one of them is waiting for a call from you.

One instruction

Say it, and it happens.

Hold a key and speak, the way you have heard it done a hundred times. Or pick the aircraft and press the button. The crew answers you either way.

Waiting on you

    A day that runs itself

Morning rush. Quiet afternoon. Evening push.

Flights land, park, take their bags and their fuel, and go out again on the next leg. Nothing is set up by hand and nothing repeats itself. You turn up, and there is a day waiting for you.

You choose how hard it should be. A quiet field where you can take your time, or an hour with no gaps in it at all.

    Anywhere you fly

    The airport is yours.

The gates, the stands, the taxiways and the runways come from the simulator, so your home field is there already and so is everywhere else. Real airlines, going to places they really fly to.

Every crew has a voice, and it sounds like the airline it belongs to. A British crew and a German crew are not the same person twice.

The launch price runs for 30 days, and the price is then €49.90.

Updates are included, and not charged for. You buy it once: no subscription, and nothing to renew.

    You need
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, on Windows 10 or 11, and 2048 MB of memory for Airside itself iMeasured with Airside open and no shift running: 1.3 GB. At the heaviest traffic level it reaches 2.6 GB. That level is yours to set, so a quieter field, or a lighter setting on a busy one, asks for less.

Turn the simulator's own aircraft traffic off
    First install
The installer is small and fetches the rest: about 720 MB, once, the first time you run it. Keep 2 GB free on the drive you put it on

    Microphone
There are two ways to work and you pick one: press the buttons, or hold a key and say it. A microphone is needed only for the second

    Before you decide

    Questions people actually ask.

    What is Airside?

An air traffic control simulator for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You work the tower and the ground at any airport in the simulator.

Do I need Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?

Yes, owned and installed. Airside controls the simulator and does not replace it. Turn the simulator's own aircraft traffic off before your first shift, because Airside places the aircraft itself.

Which airports does it work at?

Every airport the simulator has. The runways, taxiways, taxiway names, gates and stands, and published departure (SID) and arrival (STAR) procedures are all read from the simulator's own data, so a scenery add-on works the same as a stock field.

Do I have to speak, or can I click?

Either. There are two modes and you pick one at the start of a shift: click, or speech.

Do I need to know the phraseology?

No. Four lessons teach the position, and what they teach is generated from the same grammar the product listens to, so a lesson cannot teach a sentence Airside will not understand. The crews also ask for what they need, in phraseology, before you have to guess.

    Is it a subscription?

No. You buy Airside once and it stays yours. There is nothing to renew, and updates are included and not charged for.

What does it need to run?

Windows 10 or 11, 64 bit, with 2048 MB of memory and 2 GB of disk. No additional processor or graphics requirement. An internet connection is needed at start up, and a microphone only if you want to speak.

Can I move it to another PC?

Yes. Write to support and we will move the licence to the new computer, once in any twelve months. That covers a new PC or replaced hardware.
